Dr. Tan is board certified in clinical dermatology and dermatopathology. She received her B.S. in Biology at M.I.T. and completed the prestigious medical scientist training at U.C.L.A., obtaining her M.D. and PhD in immunology. Her internship was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She returned to Los Angeles where she completed her dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, serving as chief resident. Her dermatopathology fellowship was completed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Weill-Cornell Medical College.
She enjoys nurturing succulents and edibles in the garden, tinkering in the kitchen, knitting and uncovering treasures at the Southland's various flea markets. When time permits, she and her husband travel the world to learn and be inspired.
